Back for a fifth outing in 2016, Simple Things Festival describes itself as an aural celebration of all things adventurous, innovative and fun and it brings a wide range of different musicians and artists to Bristol. The festival will take over a number of venues across the city on 23rd and 24th October.

The artists confirmed for Simple Things 2016 include Battles, Lee Scratch Perry, Ruff Sqwad & J-Cush, Slime, Mild High Club, Spectres , Sex Swing, Carner, Maximum Joy, Chastity Belt, Danny L Harle, Dean Blunt, DJ Funk, Grumbling Fur, Factory Floor, HEALTH, Holly Herndon, JME, Liturgy, Lone, Long Arm, Lower Dens, Loyle Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators, Oliver Wilde, Penguin Cafe, Romare, Savages, Skepta, Speedy Ortiz, The Soft Moon, Vessel, Vessels, Wire.

The opening concert for the event has been announced as Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Colston Hall and there are also a huge range of DJs confirmed throughout the 2-day festival including: Hodge, Tessela, Eric Duncan, Darwin, Giant Swan, The Blast DJs, Avalon Emerson, Barnt, Discodromo, Futureboogie, Galcher Lustwerk, Gramrcy, Helena Hauff, Hunee, Mike Skinner, Moxie, nd_baumecker, Objekt, Pardon My French, Ron Trent, and Untold.
