UK Festival Guides is an independent editorial publication. Our coverage decisions are made by our editorial team and are not influenced by advertising relationships, listing fees, or commercial partnerships. This policy sets out the principles we follow.

Independence

Our festival listings, reviews, and news articles are produced independently of festival organisers and their PR representatives. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, positive reviews, or adjusted star ratings. Advertising on UKFG does not influence editorial decisions.

Where a member of the editorial team has a personal or professional relationship with an event, they will not review or write news articles about that event.

Festival Listings

Any UK or Irish music festival that meets our basic criteria is eligible for a free listing. We include all qualifying submissions without payment. We do not charge organisers for a standard listing, nor do we deprioritise festivals that do not advertise with us.

Listings are verified against publicly available information. We may decline or remove listings for events that appear misleading, cancelled without disclosure, or otherwise contrary to the interests of festival-goers.

Reviews

Reviews represent the honest opinion of the named reviewer. Ratings are not discussed with festival organisers before or after publication. We do not accept free tickets in exchange for a guaranteed positive review — where complimentary access is provided, it will be disclosed in the review.

We do not delete negative reviews at the request of organisers. Reviews may be updated if factual errors are identified.

Sponsored Content

We occasionally produce sponsored editorial in partnership with festival organisers, brands, or other commercial partners. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled as "Sponsored" or "Advertising Feature" and is visually distinct from independent editorial. Sponsored articles are produced to our editorial standards — we do not publish content we consider misleading or contrary to the interests of readers.

Corrections and Updates

We are committed to accuracy. If we publish incorrect information, we will correct it promptly. Corrections are noted within the original article where materially significant. We do not silently delete or substantially rewrite articles without explanation.

To report an error, email editorial@ukfestivalguides.com with the URL and the correction.

External Links

Links to third-party websites (ticket sellers, festival websites, artists) do not constitute endorsement. We may use affiliate ticketing links in some cases, which means we may receive a small commission on sales — this does not affect our listing decisions or editorial coverage.

AI and Automated Content

Some festival listing information (dates, venue data, genre tags) may be updated using automated tools. All editorial content — reviews, news articles, guides — is written and edited by humans. Where AI-assisted tools are used in production, this will be disclosed.
