Allah-Las

Allah-Las are a rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2008. Their line-up includes Miles Michaud on vocals and guitar, Pedrum Siadatian on electric guitar and vocals, Spencer Dunham on electric bass and vocals, Matthew Correia on drums, percussion and vocals, and Tim Hill.

The group is associated with garage rock, indie surf, psychedelic, psychedelic pop, rock and rock and roll, and their sound draws on surf rock and the geography of Los Angeles. They form around a shared interest in records, local history and the beach, and the members are all surfers. Their playing style and image connect to different parts of the city, from Mt. Washington on the East Side to Venice Beach in the west.

After forming, they play numerous dates in California with acts including Entrance Band, Tyde, Tijuana Panthers and the Growlers. In the Los Angeles music community, they build a reputation as a laid-back, grooving band linked to the city's older guitar-based music, including the Byrds, Love and early Captain Beefheart. They also receive approval from Patrick Campbell-Lyons of Nirvana, a founding figure in UK psych.

The band releases its third album, Calico Review, and later issues the EP Covers #1, which contains versions of songs by George Harrison, Television, Kathy Heideman and Further. Their album LAHS follows in 2019.
