For three days every September, the Brown Family, invite you to their overgrown house party – Brownstock Music Festival. Well, seriously overgrown in fact. Definitely in comparison to the early days, when the farm gates opened for 100 friends, 10 straw bales, 2 BBQs and 1 trailer for a stage.

With a line up that would make comparative festival giants peep over the hedge they are completely and utterly run by family and a handful of loyal friends.

A festival is about more than music – which is why you can also have a good old game of chess while you listen. It’s why you can pop by the art camp for a doodle or to make your mark on the Brownstock wall painting, right before having a giggle with some of the UK’s best stand up comedy and story telling. And then finally, when the time comes to refuel, you can head to Farmer Brown’s food village for a home grown Aberdeen Angus beef burger.
