PBR Streetgang

PBR Streetgang is a Leeds-based DJ and production duo consisting of Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe. The pair form in 2003 and remain active, working across house, disco and electronic music.

Background

Bradberry and Thorpe meet through the Leeds nightlife scene and develop their sound at the Asylum club. Their style links New York disco and house influences with the jacking underground sound associated with Leeds. The duo take their name after a trip to Ibiza, and Ibiza becomes an important base for them as residents for the We Love… party at Space.

DJ work and reputation

PBR Streetgang build a reputation through long-running DJ sets that move between digital and vinyl formats. Their performances range from festival stages and main rooms to smaller basements and back rooms. They play alongside a wide range of artists, including Jazzy Jeff and Ricardo Villalobos, and gain support from figures such as Crazy P, Greg Wilson, The Unabombers, Clive Henry and Ralph Lawson.

Releases

The duo release productions on 2020 Vision, Red Music, Futureboogie, E.A.R, ISM and Wolf Music. They also have a release on Jamie Jones’s Hot Creations imprint.
