Dimension

Dimension is a name used by several different acts, including a UK drum and bass producer, a Japanese jazz fusion group, a Spanish trance producer and a Denver-based prog metal band.

UK drum and bass producer

Robert Etheridge records as Dimension and works in UK drum and bass. His style is described through a distinct visual and musical identity, and he emerges as part of a newer generation of dance music headliners.

Japanese jazz fusion group

Dimension is also the name of a Japanese electric jazz group formed in Tokyo in 1992. The group consists of Takashi Masuzaki on guitar, Akira Onozuka on keyboards and Kazuki Katsuta on saxophone.

The group releases its first album, Le Mans, in 1992 as the soundtrack for a TV programme connected to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Over the following years it releases more than 25 albums of original material and performs at events including Tokyo Jazz Festival and Seoul Jazz Festival. Its albums receive strong regard and win the best jazz prize from the Japanese jazz magazine ADLIB many times. The group also contributes as session musicians on recordings by other artists. In 2012 it releases the compilation album Ballad for its 20th anniversary.

Spanish trance producer

A trance producer called Borja, born in Spain in 1988, also uses the name Dimension. Tracks under this alias appear on Armada, Vandit, Discover and Enhanced Recordings. The genre tag attached to this act also includes euro-house.

Denver prog metal band

Dimension is also a prog metal band based in Denver, Colorado, founded by David Quicho and Mane Cabrales. The band releases its debut album, Universal, in 2002 through Nightmare Records, and its second album, Ego, in 2007. It later plans a double album called Revolution through Nightmare Records.
