Y Not Festival 2027 is a music festival at Pikehall near Matlock, Derbyshire, with indie, rock and pop programming.

2005 was the year the festival began as a house party in Derbyshire before growing into a full festival. VisitEngland describes Y Not as welcoming 30,000+ attendees annually, and another listed capacity figure gives 25,000 daily.

2027 currently appears on the official site as a pre-sale sign-up, but no 2027 line-up has been posted yet.

Lineup and Programme

Nine stages are listed on the current stage page: The Big Gin, The Quarry, Giant Squid, Club Malibu, Flamingo Jacks, Hog N Barrel, The Pit, Dubtendo and Sub Culture.

The programme is built around live music across multiple stages, with indie, rock and pop named in verified festival material. Other listed activity includes a silent disco in The Quarry, late-night DJ sets, food and drink traders, VIP food traders and a dedicated family offer.

Who Is It For?

All ages are welcome at Y Not Festival, with adult, youth and family ticketing listed in the official ticket information.

Anyone aged 16 or over can attend without an adult if they hold the relevant Youth ticket. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 21 or over, and Challenge 25 applies for alcohol purchases.

The audience includes camping and glamping users, fans of indie, rock and pop, families, youth ticket holders and a local or regional crowd from the Peak District area.

The site is a Peak District greenfield and farmland venue, with the event venue definition including adjacent car parks and camping areas. General camping is included with weekend tickets, while family camping requires Family Adult or Family Youth tickets.

Facilities listed for the site include cashless bars, merchandise and food vendors, water points in campsites and arena areas, a welfare and medics tent, an info point, lost property and phone charging via ChargeCandy. Accessible provision includes a dedicated campsite, accessible toilets and showers, a Changing Places unit, a 24-hour covered charging point and viewing platforms at the Main Stage and The Quarry.

Buxton and Matlock are the nearest train stations listed by the festival, with onward travel to Pikehall by car or bus.

• Nearest stations: Buxton is about 20 minutes by car or bus; Matlock is about 17 minutes by car or bus.
• Road access: Access is via the A5012 turnoff to Mouldridge Lane.
• Local routes: Mouldridge Lane is listed for site access; Parwich Lane is used as a family-traffic route and is marked to avoid where possible.
• Parking: Pre-booked parking is strongly advised, with one parking pass required per vehicle. Car parks are a short walk from the campsites, and on-the-day parking is more expensive.
• Accessible parking: Accessible parking is limited and must be requested in advance.
