The band emphasises live performance and builds its reputation around energetic gigs. It develops a growing back catalogue of recorded material and appears at venues and events as a live act. The group wins the Liverpool Sound City youth award at the Epstein Theatre and plays the Calling Out stage at Kendal Calling in the same general period. It also receives radio play across the north-west of England, including a live interview with Billy Butler.
