Beccles is easily accessible by road. The nearest major routes are the A12 and A146. If coming from London, take the A12 north past Ipswich then continue onto the A146 toward Lowestoft; from Norwich use the A146 south. The festival site at Henham Park is clearly signposted from all directions. Parking is available in fields near the venue (usually included with tickets). During event days, local traffic can be heavy, so allow extra travel time and follow official festival road signs rather than relying solely on GPS.
The closest train stations are at Halesworth and Beccles on the East Suffolk Line. Regular services run to these from Ipswich or Norwich (depending on schedule). Many visitors travel via Norwich or Ipswich on mainline trains, then connect to the local line heading east. Shuttle buses often meet trains at Halesworth or Beccles to bring festivalgoers to the park during the weekend – check official travel info for timetables. Once in town, local buses or taxis can complete the journey to Henham Park.
Coach travellers can use National Express or Megabus to reach Norwich or Ipswich. From there, regional buses run toward Beccles or Halesworth along routes such as the A146 corridor (Stagecoach and BorderBus are common providers). On busy weekends, special event coaches may also run directly to the festival site. Once in Suffolk, local taxis are available (though often busy), so booking in advance is a good idea. Please note that pedestrian access to the site is very limited; most visitors use the official shuttles or park-and-ride services.
If you are flying in, the nearest airport is Norwich International (about 30–45 minutes by car). London Stansted is about 2.5–3 hours away and offers frequent train and coach connections via Cambridge or Ipswich. Gatwick and Heathrow are farther; if using these airports, travellers typically take a train to Norwich or Ipswich and then switch to the East Suffolk Line. From any airport, the best approach is a combination of train or coach to Norwich/Ipswich followed by a local train or bus for the final leg.
For accommodation, Beccles and the surrounding area have plenty to offer. The town itself has B&Bs, guesthouses and small hotels, and nearby coastal towns (like Southwold, Aldeburgh, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth) offer inns and holiday rentals. The Norfolk Broads and Suffolk coast also have scenic cottages and farm stays. Book early in summer, as rooms fill quickly. Alternatively, many festivalgoers stay on-site: Latitude provides general, family and luxury camping packages (with showers and toilets) as add-ons to tickets, and some local campsites offer glamping tents or caravan pitches. Wherever you stay, southern Suffolk has a welcoming village or harbor to explore before or after the festival.
