Deadletter

Deadletter are a Yorkshire-born alternative band formed in 2020 by lifelong friends Zac Lawrence on vocals, Alfie Husband on drums and George Ullyott on bass. The group later expands into a six-piece line-up.

Their music draws on post-punk, dance-punk, indie rock and related alternative styles, with influences including LCD Soundsystem, The Stranglers, Captain Beefheart and Can. They are known for densely written lyrics set against alternative rock and indie instrumentals.

Deadletter release their debut album, Hysterical Strength, in 2024. A 4-star review from NME describes the record as “dark and foreboding and it’s irresistible and fun”. The band also release a second album, Existence Is Bliss.
