Cian Ducrot is an Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from London, with a musical background shaped early by his family and classical training. His mother performs as a pianist and flautist in concerts, and he becomes involved with music from a young age, particularly classical music.

He later moves from Cork to London to continue studying classical music teaching at the Royal Academy, but after a trip to Los Angeles he decides to pursue a career as a pop musician and leaves his studies. He begins writing songs during a period when he is unsure what direction to take in life.

Style and approach

Ducrot’s music combines melancholy piano parts, occasional electronic elements, and emotionally direct lyrics. His voice is described as raw, and his writing and arrangements reflect that combination of intimacy and pop sensibility.

In 2020, he releases his first album, which begins as a college project. In 2022, he releases the single All For You with Ella Henderson.
