Festival No. 6 Festival No. 6

Festival No. 6 Header

7 September - 10 September 2017

Venues, Portmeirion, LL486ER

Welcome to a festival like no other, in the most stunning festival setting in the world.

The picturesque Italiante village of Portmeirion is our home, and was the original inspiration behind our desire to create a completely new type of festival.

Arriving in Portmeirion for the first time it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, finding yourself in a stunning yet surreal Italianate coastal village, surrounded by sub-tropical vegetation, in the middle of the rugged beauty of Snowdonia, there is a distinct sense of being somewhere serene, spiritual and very, very special. Rest assured the novelty of Portmeirion never wears off. We’ve been coming here for years and we’re still making new discoveries every time we come here.

Portmeirion is a unique and magical site, offering nature and eccentricity in equal measures, which made it the perfection location for our vision of an intimate boutique music and arts festival. Before No.6, we felt the festival circuit had become a little stale and we wanted to create a more bespoke offering, carefully curated for those who are looking for a more refined weekend. A festival which is a scene but not a herd, which inspires the artists as much as the audience, giving them the opportunity to present new work in unique intimate venues and allowing everyone the chance to put reality on hold for a few days.

When Beck headlined No.6, he was so blown away by everything he experienced he told the crowd: “This is the coolest, most surrealist, funkiest, freakiest, best festival in the world…”

No.6 is a place where you can lose yourself in your own fairytale. You can sleep in a castle a cottage, a boutique tipi, or your own tent. You can watch a band in the lush colourful gardens, catch a comedian in the Gatehouse, enjoy a string ensemble in the historical Town Hall, then stroll down to the estuary to catch some sea shanties, before letting loose to your favourite DJ in the late night Studio No.6. Spend the weekend discovering an award-winning eclectic mix of screenings, readings, performance art, installations, intimate talks and conversations and so much more. Take a few hours out by chilling in our luxury spa or strolling along the sandy shore or through the 70 acres of exotic woods that surround Portmeirion.

Festival No.6 has been curated and delivered by a collaborative team determined to deliver the UK’s most unique festival experience. The festival is named after No.6, Patrick McGoohan’s character in the classic 1960s TV series The Prisoner which was filmed in Portmeirion.

In The Prisoner, No.6 is always trying to escape ’The Village’. Rest assured, you will never want to leave.
