Standon Calling is all about music you love, breakthrough acts, dancing until 5am with your friends, lounging by the swimming pool and having fun. We invite you to a breathtakingly-overgrown manor house party in the beautiful grounds of Standon Lordship and we’d love for you to join us.

Each year this corner of the Hertfordshire countryside, set in the valley of the River Rib, becomes a place of storytelling and imagination. A themed world comes to life as the festival unfolds across day and night. In the past we’ve told tales of Murder on the Standon Express, Gods and Monsters, Running Away from the Circus, A Town of Two Faces and in 2016 we were immersed in the Legend of the Lost Seas.

Standon Calling has always been about the music. Some of the UK’s biggest stars had their start here – Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires, Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Clean Bandit, Slaves and London Grammar, to name just a few.

In 2016 headliners Suede, Jess Glynne and Kelis put on incredible shows, supported by a line up including The Hives, Everything Everything, Blossoms, Ghostpoet, The Thurston Moore Group, Adam Green, Loyle Carner and so many more.

When Standon founder Alex sent out the invitations to his birthday garden party in 2005, he could never have imagined the scale, joy and excitement of what we have all come to know and love as the Standon Calling festival.
