Hattie Whitehead is a London-born British singer-songwriter associated with indie folk and the new wave of British folk. Born in 1989, she writes songs that combine elements of alt-folk with jazz, indie and rock influences.

Whitehead is the daughter of a jazz musician and a poet, and grows up listening to a wide range of musical figures, particularly in folk and jazz. She releases her debut EP, Home, in 2015. The EP leads to radio play on BBC London and Amazing Radio, and she goes on to win third prize in Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition.

She performs at a number of festivals, including Latitude, Wilderness, Field Day and Cambridge Folk Festival. She is also a member of the group Hejira.
