About Waterworks Festival
After planning permission delays moved it from Gunnersbury Park to The Cause, Waterworks Festival 2026 runs in London as an electronic music event. The first edition took place in 2021. Waterworks published its first standalone impact report for the 2023 event.
Lineup and Programme
Waterworks says it uses no traditional headliner structure. For 2026, the programme is framed around house and techno on Saturday, then sound-system music on Sunday.
Seven spaces are listed for The Cause: Outdoor spaces, Warehouse, Brut, Hothouse, Gallery, Boilerroom and Loft. The format is a 36-hour continuous marathon, with extended DJ/live sets and movement between indoor and outdoor areas.
Who Is It For?
The audience is strictly 18+, with photographic ID required on entry. It is aimed at an adult underground-electronic-music crowd, with Waterworks stating that it invests in the local electronic music scene. It is not a family event under the listed age rule.
The Venue and Site
The Cause sits at 60 Dock Rd, London E16 1YZ. For Waterworks Extended, the site runs across seven indoor and outdoor spaces, outdoors by day and indoors by night.
There is no camping. Facilities include food vendors, cloakroom, lockers, free drinking water, accessible toilets, and a welfare and medical area.
