Main Phase is the stage name of Adam Emil Schierbeck, a producer and DJ from Copenhagen, Denmark. He works in UK bass culture and is associated with 2-step, dub and UK garage, while his music also draws on jungle, house, breaks and dub techno.

Style and sound

His productions use dark, atmospheric textures and heavy low-end frequencies. They often centre on syncopated rhythms and ambient dub influences, and he works with hardware-based production methods.

Career

Main Phase begins releasing music in 2020 on the UK label ec2a. He becomes a notable figure in Denmark's underground electronic scene and is linked with the wider resurgence of garage and bass music in Europe.
