DJ Storm

DJ Storm is a UK drum and bass DJ and one half of the duo Spinback & Storm. She is also identified as UK happy hardcore DJ Alistair Taylor, who has used the names Al Storm and Alistair Storm in other parts of his career.

Storm is known for her long-running work in drum and bass and for performing with Kemistry as a female DJ pairing. The two are described as a pioneering presence in the scene, with each developing a distinct style that complemented the other. They perform together as if they were, in their own words, “one person,” and they do not imagine working separately.

In April 1999, Kemistry dies in a car accident after a gig, which leaves Storm to continue on her own. After that, she keeps working as an artist with her dubplates and remains closely associated with drum and bass, a genre she is said to share with Kemistry as their main passion.
