About Tramlines Festival
After starting life in 2009 as a city-wide event, Tramlines Festival 2027 returns to Hillsborough Park, Sheffield as a three-day music festival covering indie rock, pop, electronic, hip-hop and dance.
The format changed. Tramlines moved from Sheffield city centre to Hillsborough Park in 2018, and Sheffield City Council has said the park’s main field can hold an audience of around 35,000.
In 2025, Tramlines raised £58,000 for local and national projects. Since the move to Hillsborough Park, its charity fundraising total has passed £319,000.
Lineup and Programme
Four stages are named. The bill runs across The Sarah Nulty Main Stage, T’Other Stage, The Leadmill Stage and The Library Stage.
The programme takes in live music sets, comedy shows, poetry and spoken-word performances, DJ sets and family activity. Into the Trees covers child-focused sessions including crafts, science activities, circus workshops, storytime, kids’ raves and funfair rides.
Who Is It For?
Tramlines is set up as a family-friendly inner-city festival for Sheffield locals and visiting music fans. Under-16s need an adult.
Anyone aged 16 or over may attend on their own, while anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 21 or over. Challenge 25 applies to alcohol sales.
