About Rock N Roll Circus
The Big Top is the frame here. Rock N Roll Circus returns to Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield from 26-29 August 2027, bringing live music and circus performance into the same arena.
It started in Newcastle in 2022, with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds as the inaugural headliner. Sheffield followed in 2023, and the 2025 edition was its third in the Steel City. Capacity is 10,000 a day.
The format is direct. Live sets sit alongside acrobats, fire shows and aerialists, with interactive workshops and drop-in circus skills sessions part of the event.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is aimed wider than a standard rock field, with first-time festival-goers and adult festival veterans both in view. All ages can attend. Under-16s need an adult with them, while under-5s enter free with a free ticket.
Drop-in circus skills sessions give the family side a practical focus rather than leaving it at viewing from the barrier. Accessible tickets include a free carer ticket.
The Venue and Site
Don Valley Bowl sits in Sheffield's Lower Don Valley, with access from Coleridge Road and the Arena / Olympic Legacy Park tram stop next to the site.
The Big Top includes an accessible viewing platform, with accessible toilets at the platform and signed locations around the site. There is no on-site camping.
