The Venue and Site
The Frederick Street building was completed in 1903 as part of the Star factory site and remains the same structure today. In 2018, Starworks in Wolverhampton was renamed KK's Steel Mill in honour of K.K. Downing.
The venue lists capacity formats of 550, 1,100 and 2,000, plus a 200-capacity lounge for smaller shows. Facilities include bar service, food from KK's Snack Bar, cash, card and contactless payments, a £1-per-item cloakroom, level access and a raised seated area with limited spaces.
