The Shrewsbury Folk Festival is a four day celebration of the tradition and culture of folk music and dance. The format is designed to involve and invite family members of all ages and it gives festival goers the chance to enjoy new music from artists from around the UK and the wider world at the end of August 2015.

The line-up of the Shrewsbury Folk Festival includes many acts including Nancy Kerr and the Sweet Visitor Band, Mawkin, False Lights (Jim Moray and Sam Carter), The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Ten Strings and a Goatskin, Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys, Barra MacNeils, O’Hooley & Tidow, Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Wilsons, The Young'uns, New Rope String Band, Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson, Lucy Ward, Patsy Reid, Jack Harris, Richard Thompson Electric Trio, Amadou Diagne, Blowzabella, The Discussion Topic, Florida, Glorystrokes, Harare, Liam Robinson Band, Piva and many more.

The festival in 2015 will also feature a Peace concert and it will take place over five music venues as well as offering a dance tent, over 100 workshops and much more for visitors of all ages.
