Celtic Connections 2027 runs from 14 to 31 January 2027 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland as a citywide multi-venue music festival.

1994 marked the first edition, with 66 events at one venue. The 2027 edition is billed as the festival's 34th edition.

2026 recorded 114,000 attendances across 18 days, with more than 1,600 artists and over 300 events at 25 venues.

Lineup and Programme

Punch Brothers, The Milk Carton Kids, Admiral Fallow, José González and corto.alto are featured on the official 2027 homepage.

More than 300 events are programmed across traditional, indie, folk, world, fusion, Americana, jazz and soul, blues, Gaelic, orchestral, rock and pop, new talent and late-night music.

The programme includes concerts, showcases, ceilidhs, family events, Open Stage performances, workshops, tutorials, school sessions and late-night Festival Club sessions. The Festival Club is described by the official site as a late-night space for spontaneous collaborations and sessions.

Who Is It For?

Under 26 audiences are specifically represented through the festival's Under 26 community, while free schools concerts and family programming sit alongside the main concert programme.

The audience is broad and mixed-age, with a traditional, roots and world core as well as indie, jazz, Americana and late-night listeners. Age restrictions vary by event, including over-14s only with under-18s accompanied, under-16s accompanied, and some 18+ venue events.

The Venue and Site

Glasgow hosts Celtic Connections as a citywide multi-venue festival rather than a single outdoor site.

Named venues include Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, City Halls, Old Fruitmarket, The Barrowland Ballroom, Pavilion Theatre, The Art School, The Mackintosh Church, Tramway and Oran Mòr.

No camping is advertised. Facilities include the box office at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, accessible tickets and wheelchair seating for selected venues, and wheelchair access with disabled toilet facilities at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and The Mackintosh Church.

• St George's Cross subway: approximately 15 minutes' walk to The Mackintosh Church.
• Road access: M8 junction 16 for Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with Sauchiehall Street and Killermont Street access.
• The Mackintosh Church road access: M8 J15 eastbound or J17 westbound, via Maryhill Road, Firhill Road and Springbank Street.
• Parking: public bicycle parking is listed near Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and The Mackintosh Church lists on-street parking.
