Dawes

Dawes is a US band from Los Angeles, active since 2009. It forms around Taylor Goldsmith and Wylie Gelber, who previously play in Simon Dawes and then branch off to form Dawes with Griffin Goldsmith and Tay Strathairn. The band also includes Lee Pardini. Their music sits within alternative country, americana, folk rock, indie folk, indie rock and rock, with roots in folk rock, indie rock and acoustic styles.

Career

The band begins in 2009 and releases its debut album, North Hills, in the same year. Nothing Is Wrong follows in 2011. Dawes is associated with HUB Records.
