New Rope String Band is a comic acoustic music group made up of Pete Challoner, Tim Dalling and Jock Tyldesley. Their performance style combines musicianship with comedy and draws on circus, clowning, vaudeville, slapstick and other forms of physical theatre and comic performance.

The group mixes material and approaches from various world music traditions with acoustic instrumentation. They release a 14-track CD titled Myoosick.
