Taking place on lush green land, alongside the National Trust workhouse and with two main marquee stages and many events in and around the area, the Gate to Southwell Festival is a fun and friendly festival. It is in its eleventh year in 2017 and it has been arranged for 8th to 11th June.

With a folk feel, the Gate to Southwell Festival shows off some of the biggest international names in folk music as well as folk dance and local performers too. There are children’s events, open mic opportunities and ceilidhs too. The 2017 event will take place as a range of venues but has stepped it up a gear with a larger site involved, allowing even more camping and caravans. There is no line-up announced for 2017 yet.
