About Slam Dunk Festival
Slam Dunk Festival began in Leeds in 2006 as a single-stage event at Millennium Square. For 2027, the North edition lands at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds on Saturday 29 May, with the same bill moving to Slam Dunk South in Hatfield on Sunday 30 May. The music leans into emo, pop-punk, metalcore, ska and alternative rock, with the Leeds site at 40,000 capacity.
The format widened in 2010 when Slam Dunk South launched. The North leg moved to Temple Newsam Park in 2019. The two-site weekend now runs on consecutive days with the same line-up.
Lineup and Programme
Announced acts include Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan, Killswitch Engage and Sleeping With Sirens. The Key Club stage is part of the stage map, alongside live sets across multiple stages.
The Festival Village opens at 9am, with the main arena from 11am. Food, bars and merchandise sit in the village, with signings and artist meet-and-greets also part of the day.
Who Is It For?
This is an all-ages event. The crowd is built around fans of emo, pop-punk, metalcore, ska and related alternative rock, rather than a mixed generalist bill.
Under-5s go free. Ages 5 and over need a full-priced ticket, and under-14s must be accompanied at all times.
The Venue and Site
Temple Newsam Park sits on the Temple Newsam estate, about 4 miles from Leeds city centre. The accessible car park is at Temple Newsam House.
Facilities include food traders, bars, merchandise stands and seating. Accessible toilets, Changing Places units, lowered bar areas, queue-jump facilities for food vendors and signings, an access hub and raised viewing platforms at every stage are also on site.
