Now in its fourth edition, Crowded Festival 2026 brings heavy music to Leicester’s city-centre venues.

The festival began in 2023. Its 2026 date is listed as 3 October 2026, running from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with general admission listed at £28.60.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans into hardcore, metal, post-metal, post-rock, sludge and shoegaze rather than mainstream rock.

Two named stages appear in verified festival listings: Upstairs at Firebug and Duffy’s Bar. The day is built around live band performances and movement between Leicester venues.

Ticketing is 16+.

The audience is the heavy-music crowd: older teens and adults following metal, sludge, post-metal and post-rock bills. This is a grassroots indoor format, using city-centre venues rather than a single large open-air site.

Firebug and Duffy’s Bar anchor the 2026 listing, which also names Various Leicester Venues.

Firebug has food and drink, step-free access via the side entrance, an accessible WC on the ground floor and seating available on request. Accessible parking is on Bowling Green Street, about 70 metres from Firebug.

Travel to Crowded Festival

Crowded Festival uses Leicester city-centre venues, with Firebug on Millstone Lane and Duffy’s Bar on Pocklingtons Walk.

• Train: Leicester station is 900 metres from Firebug. Leicester Railway Station is about a 10-minute walk, or 0.5 miles, from Duffy’s Bar.
• Road: Firebug access is via Millstone Lane; Duffy’s Bar is on Pocklingtons Walk.
• Parking: Firebug lists no dedicated car park. Accessible parking is available on Bowling Green Street, about 70 metres from Firebug.
