Purbeck Valley Folk Festival

Purbeck Folk Festival covers the broader definition of folk music and you can hear music from all around the world; some deep and meaningful, some get up and jump around. There's something for everyone's musical taste. There are three big barns, used for stages and the bar, which mean that you're dry if it rains, but there's a big grassy bank to sit on in the sunshine.

There’s something for everyone’s musical taste. There’s now a tradition of giving the young ones a chance – the line-up always features finalists from Radio 2’s young folk awards, and the best, vibrant young national and internationally known artists as well as a few oldies and the best of Dorset’s local music scene.

Purbeck Folk Festival is focussed on quality music and they are lucky to have a diverse audience from all different backgrounds brought together through their love of good music and everyone shares a respect for the performers which has made Purbeck the festival loved by artists and festival goers alike.

Although 2018's line-up has not been announced yet, stars of the genre such as Badly Drawn Boy, Kathyrn Williams, Ben Ottewell from Gomez, Turin Brakes and many more graced the stage at last year's event, showcasing the event's organisers have a penchant for choosing renowned and interesting artists.
