About Neighbourhood
Across Manchester city centre and the Oxford Road Corridor, Neighbourhood 2026 runs as a one-day indie rock music festival on 17 October. The event has run since 2016, when its inaugural edition put over 100 artists across nine city-centre venues. One wristband covers entry to participating venues, with the current edition listed across 11 Manchester venues.
Lineup and Programme
The bill leans into indie rock, alternative rock and pop, with a discovery brief around new and emerging talent from the UK and Ireland. Announced acts include KEO, confirmed for headline duty.
The 2026 venue list spans Manchester Academy 1, Manchester Academy 2, Manchester Amber’s, Manchester Deaf Institute - Music Hall, Manchester Deaf Institute - The Lodge, Manchester Gorilla, Manchester Lion’s Den, Manchester O2 Ritz, Manchester YES (The Basement), Manchester YES (The Pink Room) and Manchester Factory 251.
Venue-hopping between live sets is part of the programme.
Who Is It For?
Neighbourhood’s audience is a discovery-focused crowd of indie and alternative fans, with a student-friendly city-centre mix. Age rules change by room. Most venues are over-14s only; Manchester YES Pink Room, YES Basement, Lion’s Den and Factory 251 are over-18s only, while Manchester Amber’s is 14+ with under-18s accompanied by an adult. Photo ID may be required.
The Venue and Site
The site is not a field. Neighbourhood works through Manchester’s existing venue circuit across the city centre and Oxford Road Corridor, with Manchester Academy, Deaf Institute, Gorilla, O2 Ritz, YES and Factory 251 among the named rooms for 2026.
Its compact format keeps the day walkable, with wristband access used across participating venues. General admission tickets are publicly listed at £44.00.
