About Manchester Psych Fest
Manchester Psych Fest 2027 puts its one-day psychedelic, indie, alternative and experimental music bill across venues in Manchester’s Oxford Road/Circle Square corridor.
The festival began in 2014 as an all-dayer at Night & Day Café. It moved to the Oxford Road corridor in 2019, reached its 10th edition in 2023, and recent coverage puts capacity at around 6,000 attendees per day. The 2027 edition runs on Saturday 4 September 2027, with early-bird tickets listed at £42.50 plus booking fees.
Lineup and Programme
The programme leans into psychedelic, indie, alternative and experimental music across a walkable city-centre circuit. No single-arena setup here.
Stage locations listed for the festival include The Apollo, Manchester Academy, The Ritz, Projekts Skate Park, Gorilla, YES, Deaf Institute, The Bread Shed, The Abbey and Lass O'Gowrie. O2 Apollo Manchester was used as the main stage for the first time in 2026.
Alongside live music, the wider programme includes art installations and exhibitions, film screenings, talks, street food, merch shopping, DJs, workshops and yoga. The Circle Square festival hub adds the non-music activity around the shows.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is drawn from psych, indie and alternative music fans, plus Manchester’s student and young music audience. It is mixed-age, with venue-specific access rules.
Apollo, Manchester Academy, The Ritz, Projekts Skate Park, Gorilla, Deaf Institute and The Abbey are 14+ before 11pm. YES, The Bread Shed and Lass O'Gowrie are 18+ after 11pm. It is a one-day city festival with no on-site camping.
The Venue and Site
Oxford Road is the anchor, with Circle Square acting as the festival hub for wristband collection and site activity. The format is inner-city and walkable rather than a field site.
Facilities listed for participating venues and the hub include street food, a festival bar, an official merch shop, accessibility support, art installations, exhibitions, workshops including tie-dye, yoga sessions and film screenings. There is no official festival parking.
