Kairos

Kairos is the name of at least two acts, including a United Kingdom drum and bass artist and an independent progressive rock band. The band entry centres on Jason Sturm and Josh Sturm, whose musical partnership forms the basis of the group. Kairos draws on ambient melodies, driving rhythms and dynamic guitar harmonies, and its sound and live performances are often compared with Pink Floyd and Tool.

Progressive rock band

The band describes its name as a reference to timing and fate. It performs as an independent act without label support and continues to build its profile through live work. Its members share the stage with national acts including Flyleaf, Fall Out Boy, Head Automatica, Rusted Root and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Live work and recognition

Kairos wins XM Satellite Radio’s Have A Nice Gig competition, opens for Bon Jovi in front of an audience of 17,000, and appears on Vans Warped Tour dates. Dominic Misja is also associated with the group.
