Garage Flower
Garage Flower forms in 2000 in Nokia and becomes active in Helsinki in the autumn of that year. The band settles on its current line-up when Mimmi takes over on drums and Jukka moves to guitar. It is based around Antti and Kimmo, who write the songs. The group plays a mix of influences that includes one-hit wonders, new wave singles, 1980s pop oddities, punk, power pop, 1970s hard rock, 1960s harmony pop, post-punk, indie, and alternative country.
The band describes its work as a blend of pop-culture references and varied styles, aiming to make something distinctive from that mix. Its live activity is centred mainly around Helsinki, Finland. Garage Flower releases three official demos or EPs: Raw Flower (2002), Sensing a Touch of Love (2004), and The Green Light (2005). It also issues four Christmas singles: an untitled one in 2002, Garage Flower Loves You for Christmas (2003), More Christmas Hits (2004), and Christmas Party! (2005).
