August are a psychedelic R&B group from London. The act is also associated with a mid-2000s Wigan acoustic and alternative duo called august, which features N.S.M. on lead vocals.

Another August group based in London releases an album called It’s Not The Wand, It’s The Magic on Frizz Records in June 2008. That line-up includes Vedina Mose on vocals, Clean Cut Mark on drums, Raphael Mann on bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals, and Maree Choie on clarinet and vocals, with contributions from Frizz artist Art Terry. The group’s music is described as eclectic and compared with artists including Prince, Kate Bush, The Beatles, Sly & The Family Stone and early De La Soul. Raphael Mann also plays bass for Mr Hudson & The Library and I Blame Coco.
