About Creamfields

Creamfields first drew 25,000 people to Matterley Bowl, Winchester, in 1998. For 2027, Creamfields runs from 26-29 August at Daresbury Estate, Halton, as a four-day electronic and dance music festival. The site capacity is 70,000.

The festival moved to Daresbury in 2006. A second day followed in 2008, a third in 2011, and the four-day format arrived in 2016 with Steel Yard, a 20,000-capacity superstructure.

Lineup and Programme

Announced acts include The Prodigy, who headline APEX on Saturday 28 August 2027. The bill is rooted in electronic and dance music. APEX sits alongside ARC, HALO and Steel Yard across the arena.

Downtown adds mini golf and rave karaoke, with yoga, Zumba and fitness sessions. Camping is part of the programme here.

Who Is It For?

Creamfields is strictly 18+, with Challenge 21 operating at entrances and all bars. The crowd is primarily adult electronic and dance fans, many on site for the full camping stretch.

It is not a family festival. The practical setup points to long-stay campers: medical, welfare, help tents and info hubs run alongside charging facilities and accessible viewing areas.

The Venue and Site

Daresbury Estate is an outdoor greenfield site in Cheshire, between Liverpool and Manchester. Creamfields has been fixed there since 2006.

The site has scaled around large temporary arenas. Runway arrived as a 20,000-capacity open-air main stage from 2022, while the Zenless Zone Zero Stage debuted in 2024 with a 30,000-person capacity.

Camping is tent-only, across Standard and Bronze/Silver/Gold camping, plus Dreamfields and Pre-Pitch accommodation. Campervans and caravans are not allowed; motorhomes are also excluded. Bronze/Silver/Gold camping areas have toilet, shower and pamper hub access, with Freshfields luxury toilets and showers available as an add-on in Downtown and the event arena.

Travel to Creamfields

Daresbury sits in Cheshire between Liverpool and Manchester, with Chester also within short driving distance. Liverpool is 19.6 miles away.

• Nearest station: Runcorn Station is about 5.2 miles from the site.
• Shuttle buses: Direct links run from Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington and Runcorn/Widnes.
• Road access: Local routes include A56 Chester Road, Daresbury Lane, Newton Lane, Summer Lane, Hobb Lane and the Old Chester Road/Delph Lane junction.
• Bridge access: Mersey Gateway Bridge and Silver Jubilee Bridge are also used for access.
• Parking: Pre-booked car park passes cost less than on-the-day parking. Gold and Silver ticket holders and Dreamfields accommodation include free parking.
• On-the-day parking: Day parking is £25, with non-camping or camping parking at £35.
• Drop-off and pick-up: The drop-off and pick-up point is near the North car park.
