Hannah Laing
Hannah Laing is a DJ and producer from Dundee who works across house, techno, dance and electronic music. She builds her reputation through club sets, production, edits and bootlegs, and develops an understanding of dancefloors shaped by an early home listening culture that includes house and trance.
Career and performances
Her early career brings bookings alongside major names in dance music, including Carl Cox, MK, FISHER and CamelPhat. She also spends three seasons as an Ibiza resident from the age of 19, before going on to perform internationally.
Laing appears at major venues and events including Printworks in London, SWG3 in Glasgow, Creamfields, DC10 and Ministry of Sound. She also takes part in the first TRICK takeover associated with Patrick Topping and performs at Ministry of Sound for the first instalment of Jax Jones Presents: Midnight Snacks.
Radio, club nights and podcast
In 2019 she launches her own podcast and club night, Hannah’s Choice. The event series runs sell-out shows across Scotland and features headline appearances from artists including Ben Hemsley and Hannah Wants.
Releases and support
Laing releases music on labels including Jax Jones’ WUGD, Spinnin’ Records, Solardo’s Sola, Patrick Topping’s TRICK and Sarah Story’s Future Track ID. Her track And Back becomes TRICK’s best-selling Tasty Techno release. Her edits and bootlegs also generate attention, particularly her version of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder On The Dancefloor, which receives support from Solardo, Cloonee and others. Her releases also receive support from Danny Howard and Pete Tong.
