Around 10,000 people head to Sherdley Park for Retrospective Festival. The 2027 edition runs on 10 September, with a music bill built around pop, 80s pop and 90s pop.

The festival moved into its second year in 2026. Retro fancy dress is encouraged across the site.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans into pop from the 80s and 90s. It runs across the Main Stage and the Woodlands Stage.

DJ sets and live vocals sit alongside sing-alongs. Reminisce Classical brings orchestral reworkings of club anthems to the Woodlands Stage.

Who Is It For?

Retrospective Festival is 18+ only. The audience is adults after an 80s and 90s pop throwback, with fancy dress part of the format.

Valid photo ID is required. Challenge 25 applies at the event.

The Venue and Site

Sherdley Park is used as a greenfield festival site, with open-air stages rather than an indoor arena. The Main Stage handles the main pop programme, while the Woodlands Stage carries Reminisce Classical.

Facilities include a cloakroom, secure lockers and power bank rental. First aid, an isolation tent, accessible toilets, food and drink outlets and merchandise stalls are part of the site setup.

Camping is not allowed on site.

Travel

Sherdley Park has rail access through Lea Green and St Helens Central.

• Road: access routes include Marshalls Cross Road (A570), Elton Head Road (B5204) and St Helens Linkway (A570).
• Key junctions: Marshalls Cross Road / Elton Head Road and Elton Head Road / Lea Green Station.
• Parking: no public on-site parking; drivers use Lea Green station car park, which has disabled spaces.
