A festival which celebrates political freedom and protest as well as attracting folk and protest singers nationally and internationally the Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival and Rally is also a memorial to the Tolpuddle Martyr’s. The Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival celebrates trade unionism.

The Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival offers seminars, talks and smaller music spaces as well as the main stage. Acts confirmed for the 2015 festival include Billy Bragg, The Beat, The Hurriers, Seth Lakeman, Bemis, Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Alex Yeandle, Dana Immanuel and the Stolen Band and Stick in The Wheel. Speakers include TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady and Unite assistant general secretary Steve Turner.

This event is about debate and freedom of speech as well as enjoying the music, food and drink. There are activities including circus skills and workshops for younger festival goers.
