Now at its beautiful new home, 'Vicar's Island' on the banks of the River Medway in Yalding The Vicar's Picnic is originally named so because of it's original location on Vicarage Road as the festival started as a party in a back garden where a stage was built, a band was booked and family and friends were invited, whilst raising some money for local causes.
Originally it was a tonic to aid in the disappointment of missing out on tickets to Glastonbury but work quickly spread after the first years success and more friends with invited and it grew from there.
Thousands of pounds have been raised for charity so far and in 2014 the festival sold out completely. So begins an exciting new era as we develop into what will be the coolest little family festival in the UK!
