About Rock The Mote

Mote Park is the anchor for Rock The Mote 2027 in Maidstone, a multi-genre tribute music festival spanning rock, pop, metal, indie and country/Americana.

The event was described by Maidstone Borough Council as brand new in 2019. The 2024 edition was promoted by the council as its 5th birthday show.

Who Is It For?

The audience is mixed-age and family-friendly. All ages are welcome, under-18s must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, and the bars operate Challenge 25.

The Venue and Site

At Mote Park, the site uses a three-stage format with family activities and accessible viewing areas. Capacity is around 4,500 attendees, based on organiser-reported figures.

Facilities include food vendors, bars and a merch tent. There are water refill points; accessible provision covers viewing platforms or areas plus accessible toilets, with an accessible shower unit in Access Camping.

Camping is available, with general and VIP options for age 16+. Under-16s camp free when supervised by adults, and campervan/caravan pitches are sold as non-powered, powered, extended and VIP, with up to four people per pitch.

• Road access: Mote Avenue and Willington Street are listed access routes. School Lane is also an access point, and council material names the A20 Ashford Road / Willington Street junction.
• Parking: Car and motorbike parking tickets are available for day and weekend use. Blue-badge holders can park in the first row of the festival car park.
• Park car parks: Maidstone Borough Council lists Mote Avenue, Willington Street and School Lane car parks as open 24 hours, with disabled bays in Mote Avenue and School Lane.
