About Subterranean Festival
After a Southbank Centre debut in September 2025, Subterranean Festival 2026 runs at Hackney Round Chapel, London as a three-day folk weekender.
The 2026 edition runs from 2 to 4 October 2026. It expands the format into an East London multi-venue event across Round Chapel, Paper Dress Vintage and Chesham Arms.
Lineup and Programme
Announced acts include Cinder Well, Paahto & the Bull and Daisy Rickman.
The bill leans into traditional and contemporary folk, with roots music in the frame. Live performances run alongside daytime matinee programming and evening shows.
Traditional folk song-and-dance material is part of the programme.

The Venue and Site
Round Chapel anchors the Hackney site, with Paper Dress Vintage and Chesham Arms also named for the East London format.
The auditorium has wheelchair access via ramp and disabled toilet facilities. With the balcony in use, Round Chapel lists concert and recital capacity at up to 800.
Kitchen and dressing room access are listed in the venue hire information, along with toilets and on-site staff support. Round Chapel notes no designated box office or bar.
