From its inception in, the immensely popular Great North Folk Festival (formerly known as the Festival on the Moor) has gone from strength to strength. With the aim to promote and celebrate traditional national and local folk music and although it has gone through some name changes (it was also known as Ryedale Folk Festival) and changed venues from time to time, it seems to have foun its footing and a good fit in the village of Botton in Esk Valley.
Only headliners Nakaira have been announced as returning to the event in 2018, so far...
