Whitby Pavilion sits on West Cliff. Tomorrow's Ghosts Festival 2027 takes that Whitby site from 29–31 October 2027 for a goth and alternative music weekend. The festival dates back to 2017 and sits around Halloween, with a partnership with the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

Lineup and Programme

The bill runs through goth, goth rock, post-punk, darkwave, EBM and electro-pop. Announced acts include Anja Huwe / Xmal Deutschland and New Model Army.

Daytime hours bring the free gothic and alternative market, open Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. After-show club nights are over-18s.

Who Is It For?

The crowd is goth and alternative, spanning live-music fans, market browsers and club-night attendees. The ticketed festival is over-8s only, while the after-show club nights are for over-18s.

The free market gives a daytime route into the weekend for people shopping gothic and alternative traders. The festival also works with the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

The Venue and Site

Whitby Pavilion is on West Cliff, with the 2027 event placed in the Northern Lights Suite. Inside the Pavilion, the festival uses the Northern Lights Suite and Exhibition Hall, with the theatre bar, café and box office in the building.

The café serves coffee, tea and food. Accessibility provision includes an accessible viewing platform and access to all areas.
