The Gate to Southwell Folk Festival features more than 60 acts over 3 stages on a greenfield site next the The National Trust Workhouse in Southwell and is held alongside the annual Gate to Southwell procession of Morris dancers from Nottingham city centre to Southwell Minster.  The organisers have added an extra day this year, so the festival will be held from Thursday 6th until Sunday 9th June 2013.

Southwell Folk Festival is for children and adults and showcases both international and local performers on the folk scene. There will be ample opportunity to get involved with dance displays, open mic sessions, ceilidhs, workshops for all ages as well as trade stalls and children's entertainment.

Tickets will be available from 3rd December 2012 and will be priced at £75.  The lineup is already starting to take shape with Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes announced as the first headline act - see lineup below for more info.

Camping is available on fields adjacent to the venue - prices are likely to be around £15 for adults and £8 for youths aged 12-17.  There will be limited space for caravans and motor homes and these are £5 extra.
