About GALA
Peckham Rye Park gives GALA its South London setting. The 2027 edition is planned for 28–30 May 2027 in Peckham, London, with house, disco, techno, electronic, jazz and soul at the centre of the bill. The licensed site capacity is up to 9,999.
The festival started in 2016 as a 3,000-person, two-stage show in Brockwell Park. It moved to Peckham Rye Park in 2018, with 2025 marking ten years of GALA.
Lineup and Programme
The programme runs through DJ sets and live music rather than a single headline-led arena format. The music runs across JOY, Patio, The Pleasure Dome, 1908, Sunflower Soundsystem and Cornerstone.
The genre spread sits in club culture: house, disco, techno, electronic, jazz and soul. Food vendors, drink partners, water points and a Rye Wax record store have been part of the site setup.
Who Is It For?
GALA is an adult club-culture weekender. Entry is 18+ only, Challenge 25 runs at the gates and children are not permitted on site.
The crowd is centred on dance-music fans rather than a family camping audience. On-site access and welfare provision includes viewing platforms, viewing areas, medical support and a welfare area.
The Venue and Site
Peckham Rye Park is a public South London park with entrances on Peckham Rye, Homestall Road, Colyton Road and Strakers Road. For GALA, the festival entrance sits opposite Colyton Road.
The site has toilets, accessible toilets, water points, food vendors and drink partners. Other facilities include a merchandise stand, recycling and waste management stations, and medical and welfare support.
