Folk East 2013 is a celebration of folk and world music with artists local to Suffolk playing alongside national and international names.

FolkEast has a new home for 2013 at Glemham Hall, Little Glemham.

'Glem’ meaning ‘gleam/happy’and ‘ham’ meaning ‘village’.

Perfect!

Set in the ancient parkland of Glemham Hall, the arena will include a main covered stage and various folk, dance, workshop, tea and “mardling” marquees.

There will be a large variety of food stalls showcasing food from around the world and our own signature real ale bar with it’s own mini beer festival featuring ales and ciders from Suffolk and Norfolk micro breweries.

There will be a range of arts and crafts stalls, a sculpture garden which fires up at night and areas of general wonder!

Tickets

The campsite will open on Thursday 22nd August at 2pm and you can stay until midday Monday, with a weekend camping ticket.

There will be a family camping area, general camping and a designated area for small caravans and camper vans. Please note that the organisers will not be able to run electricity to your vehicle.

The 2013 site will have a small shop where you can buy basic camping supplies and there will be areas to gather and meet, and play music if you wish. There will also be the return of the very popular showers from 2012!

Folk East look upon this as a really lovely place to camp for the weekend… but they have thrown in a bit of entertainment for you to wile away the hours…!

Folk East ask you to follow their campsite rules to make for a pleasant experience for everyone camping.

No campfires are allowed or personal generators.

After the event has finished, the site will be returned to the animals for grazing.
