HotchPotch

HotchPotch is a Dutch band active since 2005. It is a five-piece group whose members each play a wide range of instruments and approaches, and its music is known for crossing style boundaries rather than fitting a single category.

Style and instrumentation

The band moves across jazz, rock, funk and metal, with a sound that resists easy classification. It uses less common instruments alongside more standard rock instrumentation, including hang, sitar and djembe, as part of its approach to creating a varied and unconventional sound.
