Floorboy is a folk and country-influenced indie artist known for deep, brooding vocals, unusual lyrics and finger-style guitar. The songs are introspective and focus on emotions, addictions and insecurities, often from the perspective of a small-town boy moving reluctantly into adulthood.
Releases and airplay
In 2012, Floorboy releases the Private Hell EP, which draws attention from promoters and record labels, including interest from Sweden. Work then begins on the Yellow Roses EP, and the track River's End appears on BBC6 Music, Future Radio and the LT4Records summer mixtape.

Floorboy cites a wide range of influences, including Bright Eyes, The National, Willy Mason, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Laura Marling, The Tallest Man on Earth, John Butler and Johnny Cash.
