New Oxfordshire Music Festival Set to Attract Hundreds
A new music festival is set to bring more than 1,000 people together. The Tarantarti Party will see music-lovers flock to the rolling meadows near Faringdon from August 7 until August 10.
It will celebrate the 30th birthday of the festival band Tarantism. The event, organised by the band's family and friends, will feature music, food, camping, and creative workshops. Event highlights include four unique stages, extensive kids' activities, and a wellbeing and healing area.
The stages are set to welcome festival DJs Chris Liberator, Chris Tofu, Guy Geezer, and AON, along with bands including China Shop Bull, Los Albertos, and P.A.I.N. There will be a disco cabaret with live music, drag performances, comedy, theatre, acrobatics, and fire shows.
The wellbeing and healing area will offer yoga, meditation, sound healing, reiki, massage, and mindful workshops. The festival aims to be accessible and inclusive, with wheelchair access, quiet zones, sensory-friendly areas, and accessible camping.
The organiser, Hannah, lives on-site in a yurt. The event will be partly powered by on-site solar arrays and biofuel generators. There will be an artisan market showcasing local makers, a craft beer pavilion featuring beers from Oxfordshire microbreweries, and second-hand goodies.
Dogs are welcome at the festival, with a dedicated field for walking them. Tickets cost £90 for adults, £45 for teens, and £30 for children. Under-6s can attend for free. The event is being held on a private farm a few miles from Faringdon. The full address will be given to ticket holders.
