Whitwell Music Festival is a small community festival in the village of Whitwell in North Derbyshire. It is in its eighth year in 2016 and has been organised for 9th until 11th September. The festival takes place across three different stages indoor and outdoor and is centred in and around the local community centre.

The acts announced for this year include a wide range of recognisable names and local talent such as: Nizlopi, Sham 69, Leatherat, Funke & the Two Tone Baby, The Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican, Parson's Lot, Black Thorn, Star Botherers, Jungle Lion, Ben Miles, Nobody's Heroes, The Leathernecks, Morris & Watson, Porch Lizards, Brian Stone, Northern Monkey, Tom McCartney Band, Martin Black, Steve Roberts & the Visitors, Back to Verona, Schrodingers Strings, Taxi For Bob, Benjamin Bassford and there are more still to be announced.

The festival also has plenty of tents and stalls to explore as well as workshops to take part in.
