After its 2023 launch as a woods-set trance event, Trance In The Woods 2027 returns to Thoresby Park, Nottingham, NG22 9EP as an adult-only trance music festival.

The 2027 edition is listed as the festival's fifth. The format is two days. The music brief runs across trance subgenres, including hard trance, uplifting trance and tech trance, with progressive and classic trance also part of the scope.

The festival launched at Elvaston Castle Country Park in 2023, billed as the UK's first fully dedicated trance music event in the woods. It moved to Thoresby Park for the 2026 edition.

Who Is It For?

The audience is adult-only and built around a weekend camping and glamping crowd. No under-18s are admitted.

Challenge 25 applies, valid ID is required, and there are no pass-outs once inside the event. It is not a family festival under the published age rules.

The Venue and Site

The woodland area at Thoresby Park is twice the size of the earlier setup. The site address is Thoresby Park, Nottingham, NG22 9EP.

Camping and glamping are part of the site, with motorhome and caravan upgrades including power hook-up. Check-in for camping runs from 12pm Friday until 9pm, with check-out at 12pm Sunday.

Disabled toilets are listed. Seating areas are listed too, alongside food stalls, a merch stall and gluten-free food options. VIP access adds fast-track entry and a VIP bar. It also covers upgraded toilets and enhanced main-stage viewing.

Travel to Trance In The Woods

Thoresby Park sits north of Nottingham city centre in Nottinghamshire. Official access notes direct traffic by event signage from the A614, A1, A616 and A6075.

• Nearest stations: Worksop is about 10 km away; Newark North Gate is about 8 miles from Thoresby Park.
• Road access: Routes listed include the A614, A1, A616, A6075, the A614/A616/A6075 Ollerton roundabout, and M1 Junction 30 via the A619/A57.
• Parking: All car parks are no more than a 5-minute walk on hard-standing paths to the main site. Tent and glamping campers get one free parking space.
• Nearby cities: Nottingham city centre is about 22 miles away; Sheffield is about 20 miles, Lincoln about 21 miles and Derby about 28 miles.
